  1. Contact professional printing services to customize your logo, name, text, and images. Choose a reliable printing company to print your promotional artwork on the product. You need to be careful while selecting a printing company because you cannot go wrong with the print quality.
  2. After selecting the printing company, check whether they have high end promotional items that you want for the campaign. Check their website or directly contact a representative for a better idea. If they don’t have the product you want, ask whether they can arrange the products for you.
  3. Select the promotional item’s size, material, and color. For instance, if your high end promotional items are watches, you should decide the brand, color, and watch type.
  4. Share your company’s logo, picture, or tagline with the company. The printing company will share artwork for approval. That’s when you can make changes to the artwork. For instance, if you want to include specific color, you can instruct them. You can also include your business address and contact number.

If you want to impress your customers, you need to create an impression that you are a professional business.
  7. If the sample high end promotional item is according to your preference, you should share the number of items needed.

How to Deal with Professional Print Shops?

How to Deal with Professional Print ShopsThe printing industry is a curious mix of new and old – a universe rich with history that goes back hundreds of years but is dependent on technology that evolves and improves all the time. Having to deal with the challenges posed by a print job – from posters to business cards – can be a little overwhelming, especially if you have never worked with a print shop before and don’t have the financial means to contract an expert to handle the process for you. With the following tips however, dealing with print shops will be a piece of cake.

1. Take All Your Options into Account

When it comes to printing, your choice of printers is practically unlimited. Thus, before settling with the first print shop you see on the Yellow Pages, it is a good idea to browse Google first and scroll through all the available options. Look at the kind of services they provide, read what the customers have to say about them, and see if you can establish a long-term relationship with them.

2. Know Your Files

The first key step toward a successful print job is sending your files in the correct format. A majority of online printers have become more flexible at accepting a wide range of files – from Bitmap images to Microsoft Word documents, but many of these formats have numerous downfalls. However, the golden rule is to make use of a format that leaves as little to chance as possible.

3. Inquire About The Finishing Effects

How to Deal with Professional Print ShopsFinishing is about more than just getting a piece bound. If you have thought about folding, page scoring, perfect binding, or cuts, chances are that your proposed print shop doesn’t cater to these requests. It is, therefore, best to inquire about their capabilities related to finishing effects if you intend on using them.

4. Plan ahead

It is never too soon to start planning for a print project. Speak to the printing professional and plan an accurate timeline for the project. Think about factoring in time for quoting, consultation, proofing, review, approval of the final piece, then production time. Numerous factors play into each of these steps. If possible, allow a minimum of three weeks for a normal project.

5. Don’t Prioritize Cost Over Quality

How to Deal with Professional Print ShopsIf you base your decision solely on the rates of a particular printing service, then you might be sorry. There is no guarantee whether the company will take responsibility for their errors, and stand behind their poor work. The result? You could end up paying more than you bargained for. Ask some key questions about work and service guarantees. Ask to review samples. Take into account other capabilities, services offers, customer care, and price. If all these factors are in place, then you are good to go.

If what you are looking for are quality, diversity and affordable rates, contact us today to schedule an appointment with the best printer in NYC!

How Large Format Printing Helps Your Promotional Campaigns

How Large Format Printing Helps Your Promotional Campaigns 1No matter which promotional technique you use, it is important to ensure its visibility. Business enterprises should focus their attention on proper advertising methods. Good advertising improves your brand image and ensures the growth of your company. Perhaps this is the reason behind the growing popularity of large format printing. With a larger format, your customers will be able to remember your advertisement for long.

Large format printing allows you to produce life sized photos of your products. Such images are easily visible from a distance and thus attention-grabbing. These images can be displayed as hoardings on the top of buildings or along the roadsides. Large format printing portrays your brand in a good light. People start noticing your company.

Recreate images with great quality and detail

Large format printing allows you to create images with superior quality and detail. This explains why many businesses now seek the service of printing companies offering large offset printing. Using large format printing, you can create bright pictures with a glossy finish.

Availability of high quality technology

With rapidly changing technology, it is now easy to find high quality printing that supports large format printing. Thanks to these technologies, printing companies can deliver wall stickers almost immediately. Advertising does not permit delays. Your posters should be in front of your audience at the right time. Marketers can specify how their stickers should be printed or the printing team can come up with stylish design ideas.

High quality materials

Large Format PrintingLarge format printing uses high quality raw materials and fabric. Because of the fine quality of raw materials, the posters can bear all seasons. This way, the large attractive prints can keep on promoting your products for a long time. Such huge images can also be screen printed in different poster sizes. Many companies are interested in printing PVC banners, wall stickers, and vinyl stickers through these printing technologies.

As we can see, there are several good reasons to use large format printing for promoting businesses. When large format printing is used cleverly, it adds a new dimension to your promotional campaigns.

When your hoardings are erected in places where they are sure to grab attention, your products and business will get the visibility they need.

Whether you are a beauty salon or a new food joint, reach us at 646-205-3037 for some attractive printing options. We can get you the visibility your brand deserves. You can rest assured that when you choose our services, your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Printing with the best graphics file formats

Graphics File Formats

Perhaps the most difficult thing for people new to print production to get their heads around is the incorporation of graphics into their projects. Because the requirements of the computer screen are very different from the requirements of a printing press, the process often goes awry at this stage. A graphic that might look just fine on the monitor may lack sufficient resolution to print correctly, or might not print at all. Here’s a primer on preparing images for print:

Bitmap (Raster) Graphics

Most people are familiar with bitmap images. They’re made up of tiny dots, and are produced by scanners and digital cameras. All of the pictures that you see on the Internet are bitmap images. Most people have some experience creating and editing graphics in programs like Paint, Photoshop, or GIMP.

The best file formats for bitmap graphics are “lossless”, which means that they contain the maximum amount of information for the computer to use in displaying them. Tagged Image File Format (.tif or .tiff file extension) and Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) are generally regarded as the best bitmap files for print use. The least favored option is the common .jpeg file (named for the Joint Photographic Experts Group, inventors of the format) because it’s optimized for on-screen display, and sacrifices quality for a smaller file size. Use a .jpeg file only when there’s no other alternative.

Resolution

Resolution is the density of dots that make up a bitmap image, measured in pixels per linear inch (dpi). It’s a ratio – if you double the size of a bitmap image, you will reduce its resolution by half. If the resolution in your image is too low, you will see the individual dots in the printed output. This is called “pixellation”, and is a big problem when using images taken from the Internet or other sources destined for display on the screen. The general rule is that you need half the resolution in your image as the final output will be. If your page will be printed at 300 dpi, your image needs to contain at least 150 dpi of information. If your job is to be output at 600 dpi, your images need to be at 300 dpi.

Mode

If you’re submitting bitmap files to a service bureau, ensure that you set the mode to “CMYK” in your editing software. This will save some headaches later.

Vector Graphics

Vector graphics are made up of lines. They’re completely unsuitable for photorealistic images, but fantastic for cartoons, illustrations, and corporate logos. They’re generally much smaller files than a bitmap, and are scalable, which means that no matter how big you make a vector image it won’t pixellate like a bitmap. Programs like Adobe Illustrator produce vector files with a variety of extensions, very commonly .eps and .ai. When you’re adding corporate logos to your project, always ask the person providing them if they’re available in a vector format.

Promotional Items

Choose the Right Promotional Item

Promotional items have become a staple in business worldwide. Reputedly, an Ohio printer named Jasper Meeks started the practice when he convinced a local shoe store to print their name on some book bags, and distribute them free of charge to schools.

Today, promotional gifts are ubiquitous. A whole industry has grown up around the practice. The Promotional Products Association International has 10000 members worldwide, including 22000 distributors and 4800 manufacturers.

If your enterprise has been operating for any time at all, you’ve doubtless been paid a sales call by one or more of these distributors, who all have glossy catalogs full of nifty looking things for you to give your customers and prospects. They claim that these gifts will give you an edge when it comes to gaining and retaining customers.

Before you go investing money in a promotional item to give away, there are some questions you need to ask:Best Printer NYC for Events

Does this Item Represent My Business?

Does the item you’re considering align with the products or services that you sell? Is it consistent with the message that you’re trying to put across? The most successfully branded companies have carefully considered promotional strategies in which every single piece fits together.

Is this item useful?

Every time a customer or prospect throws out a promotional item, they’re throwing out your money. They’re also needlessly contributing to the landfill. Know your target demographic, and plan your gifts accordingly. While a multipurpose golf tool might seem nifty, if your customers don’t play golf you are doing them and yourself a disservice.

Does this Item Get My Message Across?

Every contact you have with a customer or prospect is an opportunity to get your message across. Don’t send mixed signals. If part of your businesses core values is respect for the environment, make sure you don’t contradict that message. Avoid generic promotional items like phone cards or pens, unless you’re sure that your target can make use of them.

Is the Item Effectively Personalized?

Make sure your promotional materials paint your company in the best possible light. Use a reputable printer to personalize your promotional items. The promotional item gets attributed to your company because it has your name and logo on it. Make sure it’s aesthetically pleasing, easy to view, and will remain on the item as long as it’s in use.

Trade Show Printing

Trade shows can be a major expense for a business, and the worst feeling in the world is walking away from one wondering if you have made an impact with your market.

NYC Printing for Trade Shows Javits Center p01The Draw

Trade shows are often fast-paced events, with throngs of people creating a flow that is easy for the potential customer to get pushed along by. Your booth must have a draw to pull them out of the flow. The best way to do this is a clear, concise message easily identified in the few moments a customer has to make the decision whether or not to step in NYC Printing for Trade Shows Javits Center p02to your booth. The lengthier the message, the more likely the potential target is to give up and move on – this is the generation of shortened attention spans. A lively, colorful, well-coordinated booth will draw eyes and draw legs. On the flip side, a stodgy, basic booth projects a lack of innovation or ambition. Themed booths can be a draw, but ensure that the theme is appropriate for the event and crowd. Even if your product is not particularly exciting, there’s no reason for your display to be boring.

The Hold

Once you’ve pulled the target in, you’ve got to keep them. An area to step in to, off the path and out of the way of traffic. A seating area with refreshments, such as water NYC Printing for Trade Shows Javits Center p03bottles or packaged snacks with the company logo on them. The water bottles could serve two purposes – to refresh the weary attendee, and if you let them know you have a recycling bin for when their done with the bottle, a possible return visit later in the day for more face time. Your booth must be comfortable and welcoming.

The Info

This is the boring part, but without it, all the flare and swag in the world won’t help out out, as people will walk away thinking “Well they were nice… what were they selling?” Conversely, information overload is detrimental as well, as literature detailing everything your company does creates clutter, and is likely just to get tossed in the trash can later. Keep it small but effective, with the ability to bring the customer back later, and please, keep it organized.

The Give

Nobody likes walking away empty-handed from a booth. Swag bags are the talk of many a show, so make sure you’ve got something that can be stowed in a bag and used that day, or at a later date. Individual bottles of hand sanitizer with your company logo on them NYC Printing for Trade Shows Javits Center p04are great for potential customers – chances are they’ll be shaking lots of hands over the course of the day. Same goes for breath mints – no one wants to have bad breath when talking to a future business partner. You don’t want all your giveaways to be something that can be used and disposed of though, you need to provide them with constant reminders. While pens are the tried-and-true way to go, they don’t stick out, and get lost easily. Instead, think of unique items that could be used on a daily basis in our increasingly technology-centric world or be conversation starters. Branded USB drives, dashboard smartphone holders, and tablet/smartphone stands are useful, constant reminders. One sure way to get more customers to visit the booth, as well as to get leads, is through a large-item giveaway such as a branded leather computer bag that they need to fill out a contact form to enter a drawing for.

NYC Printing for Trade Shows Javits Center p05So make sure to make your mark at the next trade show, and make sure your printing company can meet your needs every step of the way. Automation Graphics offers a wide variety of trade show solutions that can be printed to fit whatever you can think up. Contact us today!

Printed Promotional Products

Best Price on Printed Promotional Products NYC p01

Promotional items are no longer limited to pens, flying discs, and balloons. Advances in technology have allowed for logos and slogans to be attached to almost any product you can think of, from the mundane to the just-plain-wacky. But before you slap your logo on the USB-powered, flower-shaped desk fan, let’s take a look at what makes a successful printed promotional product.

Best Price on Printed Promotional Products NYC p02Useful: Useless promotional products end up in the landfill. Whether their given to your employees around the office, or the customer, useful products stick around. It’s why, despite so many technological advances, the printed calendar is one of the most popular printed promotional product. Everyone needs to write their loved ones’ birthdays down somewhere. A remote-control car with your logo emblazoned on it may seem like an awesome idea – actually, it definitely is – but a travel cooler or backpack is infinitely more useful, and likely to be seen more often by more people as a result. Items often found in a person’s “junk drawer” at home or in the office are great examples of inexpensive but useful items – your potential customers will certainly appreciate that branded flashlight when the power goes out, or that branded chip clip when they can only finish half of the bag of Doritos.

Best Price on Printed Promotional Products NYC p03Attractive: Even the most useful object will be ignored if it looks cheap or gaudy. Coffee mugs are great promotional products for the caffeinated business crowd, but a cheap, plastic, generic travel mug will often be tossed by the wayside in favor of a sturdy, modern, stainless steel mug. The latter may cost a little more, but this is the cost for attractiveness that will cause the product to be retained by the target, and retention is key. A promotional product that gets put in the back of the cabinet or thrown away is a waste of money.

Best Price on Printed Promotional Products NYC p04Enjoyable: This is why human-shaped stress-relief items are so popular. What’s more enjoyable than imagining the face of your current irritating supervisor/co-worker/reality-television star on the head of something you’re squeezing the heck out of? The more enjoyable your custom printed product is, the more it will be seen, used, and talked about.

Best Price on Printed Promotional Products NYC p05Relevant: This is not so much about the product, but about its connection to the company it is promoting. What is your industry, and what will work in it? Sure, a calendar with great landscapes is both useful and attractive, but it’s not particularly relevant for tow truck company to use as a promotional product, as there is nothing linking the two. However, a calendar with photographs of tow trucks in front of those landscapes would be perfect. If you provide a service, offer a product that relates to that service – if you’re a plumber at a home show, hand out toilet plungers with a sticker on them saying “If this doesn’t work, call…” It is memorable, useful, and relevant – they won’t go to the phone book to find a plumber when the number is right there on the plunger.

It may be hard to meet all these objectives given a certain budget, but aiming for at least useful and one other factor should be reachable for any company. Automation Graphics offers a wide variety of products with text and logo customization available, with the ability to fit into any promotional budget and a helpful staff to guide you towards the right choice. Printed Materials for Non-Profits

Printed Materials for Non-Profits.

Non-profit groups run on small budgets, and are dependent on the funds they raise to make a difference. With printed materials being the highest cost for many of these groups, they have to make sure they get their best value for the dollar, so that more money can go to their cause. So where can a non-profit group aim its sights to get the best return?

Best Printer NYC 2013 for Non Profit Printing 01Direct fundraising is generally inexpensive, with a great return for the dollar, but it is incredibly labor intensive. It also tends to be a bit impersonal, as doorhangers and mailings do not require interaction and door-to-door canvassing is often a hurried event. Direct fundraising is also one of the least reliable methods of producing returns, as there is no way to ensure that each of the documents goes to a party that will contribute. It requires little in the way of printed materials, mainly in the letters, envelopes, and doorhanging materials.

Fundraising galas are major events that can bring out the big donors, but also tend to have the highest cost. Bringing together donors with big pockets requires extravagance, as well as plenty of materials. In addition to the venue and the food and entertainment, plenty of printed and imprinted materials are needed. Long before the event, invitations and RSVPs are needed. For the event itself, a laundry list of printed materials are necessary, ranging from banners and nametags to programs, awards, and party favors. The bigger the donors, the flashier the printing work needs to be.

Best Printer NYC 2013 for Non Profit Printing 02Awareness events and sponsored outings are great ways for non-profits to meet face-to-face with potential donors, as well as to welcome media for publicity. Events like these tend to hit the sweet spot between the previously mentioned methods, with greater involvement than direct fundraising and a lower cost than galas. Golf outings, walkathons, and 5k races require plenty of planning, but offer opportunities unlike any other method. In terms of printed materials, these events require banners, invitations, and posters. Swag bags full of imprinted goods are also expected. T-shirts are often favorites of participants in walkathons and 5k runs, as well as water bottles. For golf outings, tees and balls are inexpensive and guaranteed to get use, while on a hot day, golf umbrellas are an attractive choice.

Best Printer NYC 2013 for Non Profit Printing 03The type of non-profit fundraising event that is proper for your non-profit organization is up to you. To take some of the stress of planning fundraising away from you, Automation Graphics can help set up the print schedule for your goods, leaving that part of your event in capable hands, to allow you to focus your efforts elsewhere.
