Tradeshows have grown to be one of the best locations for companies to see a significant increase in their customer base. They can also be one of the most competitive marketplaces out there. While the tradeshow sponsors do the hard work of getting people into the event itself, there are likely to be dozens of other companies that are vying for the same business you have in front of you. What can you do to ensure that the people walking by stop and talk to your team? It starts with having the right signage.

Planning a special event can be an extremely stressful time. Whether it is something large – like a campaign event; or something small – like a wedding; no event is less important than any other, and no event is any less stressful. A variety of printed event materials are needed for the lead-up to, during, and after the event. These materials need to be accurate and attractive, produced on time and to the specifications of the customer. So what materials does your event need?
Intimate events such as weddings, banquets, birthday parties, and graduation parties require invitations, programs, and place tags at the least. Other likely materials to be printed include announcements and save the date cards, while personalized photo books are good for sharing photos after the event. As intimate events, you want the materials to be of the highest quality, both in material used and composition. The limit of what you could have is purely in the imagination of the planner. With printers able to apply to their craft to all types of materials, a range of favors to commemorate the occasion are available to be personalized. These event materials can be tailored to the folks getting married, or to those attending the event.
A larger event such as a campaign speech or fundraising event will require more printing, although the quality of the paper materials may not be as necessary. As the pool of invites will be much larger than with an intimate event, and much of the paperwork will not be held on to for posterity, the point is to get your message out as inexpensively as possible. These events will also need posters, banners, and leaflets printed out for the event itself. Thank-you notices for those who came should also be kept in mind, especially for large donors or other important attendees, and these notices should be printed on high-quality material.
Regardless of the size of an event, you will need a printer that is accurate and flexible, that can make changes on short notice and provide you with help should you get stuck in the creation process. Automation Graphics has been helping event planners fulfill their printed materials needs for over half of a century, and they pride themselves in turning out the best printed products to meet your needs.

Nowhere is this more true than in event planning, but you’d be surprised how many people forget some vital aspect of the project, only to remember three days before the event…
But before you even recruit us for your event, you need to sit down and think about what you actually need for the event you’re in charge of. We can make suggestions, but it’s great if you have an idea of what you require so we have a baseline to work with.
Named for its ‘distance’ from the event date, this stage is long-term planning for your event, months or even a year in advance of the actual event itself. In this stage, you can set your request for Automation Graphics, including deadlines and proposed design ideas.
What we suggest is two batches of invitations, the same way many wedding planners do it: one quick “save the date!” sort of invitation, like a postcard or magnet, with a more formal and detailed invitation to follow.
Maybe a month or so out from the event date, this stage is when a lot of that pre-planning comes to fruition. The event is fast approaching, and it’s time to step up and get more items printed!
Along with these visual reminders, you should build the anticipation in various creative ways. One church holding its 60th anniversary gala gave free t-shirts and coffee mugs to church visitors with the date of the celebration printed on it. A hair salon passed out gift certificates for a free consultation to friends and family of current clients, only redeemable at their annual hair show.
Really, all of your needs should be covered by this stage, but no matter how well you plan, something will come up. A friend who promised to print the programs for you for free gets the copier jammed. You added more seats and need more tickets to sell. A hurricane and tsunami both crash into your living room, sweeping away all of the gift bags you’d planned to give away at the end of the night.
